Dear Friends,
Things are inside-up and upside-down right now that’s for sure! You may be reading this right now from the makeshift office you’ve set up in your living room. Or locked in your bedroom while your kids, or roommates, have taken over the kitchen table with their projects. We’re heard about people having Zoom meeting with someone working from inside a teepee, from pool side and even in the bathtub – video off (we hope)!
Whatever your current state of affairs, we hope you are safe and sound and not out of toilet paper. While we fear for the safety and security of ourselves and our loved ones we have been moved and inspired by the ways individuals and community are rising to the occasion- together!
Collaborating, co-creating, leveraging each other’s resources, sharing power and making the whole greater than the sum of the individual parts. Existing partnership are going virtual. New partnerships being developed to address our shared challenges. There is a new ethos of “Together we can!”. We know instinctively we will get through this – but only if we’re together as genuine partners now and into the future!
We still have a long, tough time ahead of us. As we hunker down and do our best to adapt to social distancing and our new reality, we can imagine we’ll emerge on the other side of this crisis with new priorities and new life skills. All of this can make us better equipped to care for ourselves, each other and our communities.
Which is why we’re dedicating this newsletter and future ones to spotlighting ways to partner more effectively now and into the future. To raise the partnership bar! Over the next few months we’ll be offering on-line partnering webinars, sharing frameworks and tools all with the goal of helping you partner with purpose!
We honour this moment and invite ways to turn these threats into opportunities, turn wrongs into rights, and work to craft the future we all want – together!
Be well,
Partner with Purpose Canada Team
